Anyone know when this is going to be shown? or have ITV lost it to the
cable channel FX? It looks good - especially the finding of all the bits
underwater.

I know I could torrent it but it doesn't have the same appeal then - if
that makes sense

It's a Fox show, so will be on FX first. The new series starts on Sunday
on FX - don't think anything's been announced about ITV.

I hope they do take it up, it showed that even ITV terrestrial could
show challenging stuff.

That wasn't the case with "the Shield" - but it is apparently going to
be the case with Season 2 of "Dexter".

The Shield - I enjoyed that for the first few series then it sort of
lost it's way.

Last year's FX UK broadcasts were letterbox (not anamorphic) 16:9 - so the
torrents were actually a higher resolution!

It's not a Fox show it's either on Showtime or edited on CBS. It's on
DVD from Showtime/Paramount. It's an independent production funded
through the deal to broadcast it on Showtime and CBS. Paramount are
probably the distributor to the various broadcasters worldwide.

If it had been a Fox show, there would have been a thread about year
and a half ago about an unknown show called "Dexter" being
cancelled...

Anyone know when this is going to be shown? or have ITV lost it to the

underwater.
I know I could torrent it but it doesn't have the same appeal then - if
that makes sense
FX showed the first series before ITV as well, as I think they have
the first broadcast rights. FX showed S1 about this time last year
so ITV will probably show S2 12 months after they broadcast S1.

I concur. If something's popular and is a continuing series, more often than
not it'll return on the same channel at the same time next year, and if
something retains its timeslot then that means it's popular.

This is why it annoys me when some dildo writes into a TV guide with something
like, "I'm a massive fan of Spooks, which just ended recently. When will it be
back!!!???"

One time I wish they're reply with, "Well, given that it aired during the
autumn for the last 4 years, and just a bit earlier in the year for the
previous 2 series... what the fuck do YOU think?"

Ahh but they might be on about Ultraviolet, then they'd have a point!

I downloaded series 2 back in October 2007 - what channel could they have
come from?

Never got round to watching them - but if they are on FX UK starting Sunday
then I may now start
