I thought they would have called it a day after the last ratings flop and
media panning.

Another Q - have they not used up all the D-list celeb slappers in Fuck
Island 1?

Hell, she was the best bit.

Fluffed lines, adventurous but appalling dress sense and the poorest
autocue reader ever born are all eclipsed by that smile and cleavage.

A real PILF.

Self delusion and face -saving. They can't believe the first series wasn't -
ah - rather more successful and that parachuting someone like Denise Van
Outen into it will make it far more popular. Its a bit like they're blaming
Kelly Brook for the first series being so bloody lousy. I mean, Brook was
*awful* (and Kielty not much better) but surely they should be firing the
executives at ITV behind this pile of shite?

As for Van Outen, I'd have thought she'd think twice about getting involved
in this crap - although again, this woman's talent (and audience pulling
power) seems vastly overrated to me. I'm only surprised ITV haven't
approached their latest clothes horses - Kath Thornton and Cat Deeley - to
front the show....

No - they are absolutely determined to foist this show on us whether we like
it or not :-(

Producers work hard. Exec producer is a title handed out when your "star"
moans that they want something more than just "host" on their CV.

Or, in movies, they are, more often than not, the people who put up or raise
all or part of the project funding.

I remember Barry Norman commenting on that wonderful movie, Highlander 2.

"The number of line producers is rather like the number of cooks you have
available to spoil the broth... This one has nine(!)"

Agreed, but it slowly began to work after the first month. Well, Titmus and
Sharp are still together, aren't they? Plus you had Danan getting it on with
that Playmate, etc. I think the producers will view the first series as a
steep learning curve and make the next one better. If it fails again...
*definitely* axed.

I liked it. I thought Kielty and Brook were pretty good together.

Its main problem was it was on at the same time as BB, and couldn't compete
with 6 years of loyalty to BB, even though in many ways it was as good. The
only thing they need to change next time is the scheduling. Maybe run it at
a different time of year to BB - after all, if it's going to be filmed in
the tropics, there is no need to hold it in the British summer.

No, its main problem is that it relies on the celebrities "getting it on"
and they usually won't. Unless they're seriously E-list and have nothing to
lose (Danan and the playmate). Even Titmuss kept things fairly luvvie-duvvie
with Sharp despite her brazen image... whereas the show was billed as
"celebs WILL have sex together". A second series will now mean the audience
is expecting far, far less... so why bother? Do we really care if celebs
find love on a tropical island in such a manufactured way? No, we just want
to see celebs crawl through insects and eat grubs, really.

DVO is getting £150k and a free island holiday to just do the 30 second
links. This will be more than most of the D-list whores they get onto the
actual show.

Well, she obviously killed off The Big Breakfast, so it must all be her fault
(!)

I don't see the big deal with Kelly Brook. Everyone seems to rave about her
big tits, but I saw a picture of her with them out and they just looked like
two balloons hanging down in opposite directions like two people not talking
to each other, as opposed to the apparent expectation that they'd be as
bouyant as when she's clothed.

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd see anyone suggest that Kelly
Brook's knockers were anything short of gob-smackingly awesome. This is
a sad day indeed. <bows head for moment of reflection>

I presume everyone will have seen the MPEG doing the rounds of Miss
Brook's clothing-less scene in her film, 'Three'? Just simply wow!

This sounds a little like "Survivor" on ITV - there was so much banking
on it, they daren't drop it after one series. They'll drop it after
two.

As for KB, she's up for a part in the next Bond movie (pfnarr,
hurrummpphh, guffaw....)
