The Japanese TV channel NHK World seems to have been axed from the Astra
2 ($ky) / Freesat satellite, it doesn't work any more, I had a few
failed recordings from it over night.

What a stupid decision, as it's a very popular channel for such a
minority one.

Sounds like Ar needs a retune! (Or whatever it's called on FreeSat.)

In 1969, Britain had towns full of soot, blackened buildings, and half the
population had no TV or cars - or inside loos. - James Burke, RT 2019/7/6-12

https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html shows only one instance of NHK
World, and that's HD on 11224V. I wonder if an SD version of that channel
has been removed recently, and that is what Ar was trying to record from.
It's not shown as "New" which suggests that it's not just that it has moved
from one mux to another.

The newest updates to the site (shown in the darkest shade of blue in the
10th column) are from 15 May 2024, so I wonder if one of the muxes that is
flagged used to contain NHK World SD (if it was ever broadcast in SD).

A retune, either for all muxes or at least for 11224V, should fix things for
him/her.

Looks like a fox bit the satellite cable.

Just as a note, the NHK World on the Sky / Freesat satellite is in HD,
NHK World is also on the Astra 1 satellite (19.2e) used to be SD only,
it appears it's in HD as well now.

Assuming s/he has a satellite receiver that can do HD. (Or do they all
these days? I've never had one since digital.)

After all is said and done, usually more is said.
