Just saw this Special one off was on as it started.
It was obviously made earlier this year (2015) to tie up loose ends in CSI Las Vegas even though the series ended some time back. One assumes people complained at the lack of original ending especially for certain persons like Grissom.
To sort things out Grissom was back as were Catherine and Lady Heather. Resurrected from the grave after his daughter killed him was Jim Brass. Russell and most of the final series cast were in but one was missing.
The one thing we noticed as the characters made their entrances is how all the older cast members had aged but, as usual Grissom, older or not, stole the show. All the usual blood and guts was in and the double episode length special did tie up most loose ends.
One assumes it will be repeated and if you know how to get to it on iplayer good luck. Its worth a look.

Hmm. Yeah I think I'll look out for that, I did enjoy it when it first started, and I've liked William Peterson since to Live and Die in LA. Feel a slight pang that it's gone, but I haven'e watched it for years, bar the occasional rerun. The series lost it's attraction for me a long time ago, and the Miami and New York ones always rankled, really naff story lines, and performances. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it's always comforting to know these things are out there.
